Stadium Heating Leak Detection
Background
Trace Surveys were asked to identify the location of a leak on an undersoil heating system at the national stadium. The heating pipework travels at close centres throughout the entire pitch.

Analysis
An inert trace gas was injected into the heating system and circulated around the matrix of heating pipework. Trace Gas was discovered in a single location in the pitch area.

A hole through one of the heating pipes was discovered

Pipe Repaired
The defective section of pipe was cut out and replaced. The system held pressure following the repair.
