    Leaks from swimming pool pipes

    Trace Gas Leak Detection – The pipes are sealed and an inert gas is injected into the leaking pipe. The trace gas permeates most soils and finishes and is detectable at surface level using a special sensor. Ground Microphones – Very sensitive microphones which amplify leak noise so that we can hear water or trace gas escaping from leaks. Pipe CCTV – Small and large diameter cameras which push through the pipes and allow us to see faults in pipes. Our cameras emit a magnetic field which can be traced at surface level. Once we are looking at a fault, we can mark the exact point above it.

    Leaks through swimming pool structures

    Electronic Membrane Testing – Most pool liners don’t conduct electricity. Electrical current does pass through holes in the liner. Our equipment introduces a small pulse of current through the water which can be followed to the leaks. Moisture Analysis of the pool structure – Non-destructive measurements of moisture in masonry or concrete structure to assess likely leakage paths. Dye Testing – Using specialist dyes to colour the pool water which allows us to see and confirm leak locations –

    Swimming pool pipe tracing

    Electronic pipe tracing – An electric pulse is introduced through the pipe wall or through a cable which is inserted through the pipe. The current creates a magnetic field and we trace that field at ground level. Acoustic pipe tracing – We have devices that introduce noise through the water inside a pipe. The noise can then be traced at surface level using specialist listening device. This method is very helpful for tracing plastic pipes.
